Before there were nations there were civilisations, and a handful of them built the foundations everything else stands on. This round travels from the pyramids of Giza to the stone terraces of Machu Picchu, taking in the cities, writing systems and empires that still shape how we live. The questions are an introduction rather than a deep dive: who built what, where the great monuments stand, which people invented one of the earliest forms of writing.
